Little Texas, Johnny Holm Band headline LaMoure festival
Tickets for the second annual Jake Star Festival in LaMoure, N.D., go on sale today. The festival will be Aug. 16 and 17 at the LaMoure County Memorial Park. Jake Star, LLC, Director of Operations Corey Bliss said the festival started last year to help the LaMoure community heal after the death of 8-year-old Jacob Shockman in April 2012. The festival is named in his honor. “We wanted to do something to give people a chance to look past the death and do something fun for the community,” Bliss said.
