Alzada was born Dec. 28, 1916 in Hope, ND to Oscar & Ella Johnson. She married Stephen Erickson in 1935 and they lived and farmed in the Steele county area. Stephen died in 1976.

Trial begins for parents of dead Dickinson infant
Parents of an infant who died less than two years ago with illegal drugs in his system pleaded not guilty to child abuse charges Monday at a preliminary hearing in Southwest District Court in Dickinson. Andrue Saunders and his ex-wife, Theresa Saunders, both born in 1989, are charged with Class C felony abuse or neglect of a child. The couple also have a second child.

Rising waters in Crystal, a small town in northeast North Dakota, began driving people out of their homes Monday evening as heavy rains pushed rivers back up to flood levels around the region.
