Senior center settling in to new digs
The James River Senior and Community Center has moved into its new home in the former Jamestown Hospital, now known as Legacy Living Center. JRSCC Executive Director Laurie McGuire said moving into 10,000 square feet of the iconic building will help draw the public’s attention to the center and the services it offers. Spring is the best time to divide perennials
Well, it was inevitable. The temperatures have increased and the snow has disappeared. This weekend we looked at Saturn from the unique perspective called opposition, when a planet is directly opposite the sun in the sky. Seen from space, Saturn is lined up with Earth on the same side as the sun. Seen from the ground, the planet rises at sunset, remains visible all night and doesn’t set until the sun rises the next morning. Talk about opposites — the two bodies can’t get any farther apart.
