Perleberg’s enjoyed Jamestown soccer ride
Ross Perleberg has seen the highs and lows of soccer in Jamestown. Whether it be wearing Blue and White or Black and Orange, the former Blue Jay and current Jimmie has seen about everything soccer-wise in Jamestown. “It’s been interesting, both the good and bad,” said Perleberg, the lone Jamestown product on the national-tournament bound Jimmies. “I have a lot of memories that I’ll be able to look back on when I’m older and when I’m done playing, and most of them are good ones.”

Quick-witted Lodge key for JC: Irishman helps Jimmies to national tournament
Jonathon Lodge knows good soccer. A native of Dublin, Ireland, and currently a key member of the national-tournament bound Jimmies, played on top youth teams back home and later a major JUCO in Kansas. So when he says he’d take the team he’s on now over any of them, it means something.

Captain Keeling leader of the Jimmies
There is no place on earth for pro soccer like England. Football players are groomed early to be pros, but not college players. In fact, University football, as it’s known there, kind of falls to the wayside.

Johnson a force for No. 24 Jimmies
The photo accompanying this story is one of the main reasons Jade Johnson is so effective. At 6-foot-3 and a firm 180 pounds, the Jimmies’ powerful sophomore forward out of West Fargo is just plain hard to stop. Adding further complications, he’s fast, too. So when he wants the ball, he’s probably going to get it, no matter who is in the way.

Big weekend looms for Jimmies
The Jimmies have been very good at beating the teams they’re supposed to beat this season. They’re perfect, in fact, at 12-0. It’s the 50-50 or coin flip affairs they’re still trying to master, and they’ll get another crack at it today in Iowa against 22nd-ranked Ashford (9-2-3).

Sizzling start: Jimmies 4-0, but likely to get better
Few soccer teams, particularly northern-tier NAIA ones, would be able to survive four games without their best player. The Jimmies, however, have not only survived under that scenario, but thrived.
