Grabinger, Looysen, Haak win District 12 seats
Longtime incumbent Lyle Hanson lost his District 12 House seat Tuesday as voters chose newcomers to serve them in the North Dakota Legislature. Jessica Haak, a Democrat, and Alex Looysen, a Republican, were the top vote getters in the race. Both were running their first campaigns. In the Senate race, voters chose John Grabinger, a Democrat.

Warren Wenner, assistant director of field service for the Northern Lights Council of the Boy Scouts, was the guest speaker at the Jamestown Rotary Club meeting last week. Wick shares on program at Rotary
At the Oct. 16 Rotary meeting, Vince Gregor introduced Justin Wick, new Jamestown College head basketball coach. Wick, from Iowa City, Iowa, is a graduate of the University of Iowa. He played and assisted at the university prior to moving to Northern State University, Aberdeen, S.D. Wick said he is excited to be head coach at Jamestown College. Once he accepted the position he has been on the run hiring a couple of assistants and finalizing a couple more recruits.
