Opinion Corner: A time to look back
Now that the high school season is over, and I have had time to reflect on this year and my four years of coaching the girls hockey team, I just wanted folks to know how fortunate I was to coach such great young ladies. Six years ago, I was approached about coaching the U-14 team, and that they also needed my daughter Amber to play to help keep girls hockey alive in Jamestown. At the time I had been coaching boys hockey for some 20 years and had no desire whatsoever to coach girls hockey, and Amber wanted to play one more year with the boys.

On no matter what level basketball is played, it’s normally the team that finds the most success at the free-throw line that goes home the winner.
