Medina auxiliary collects items for NDVH residents
A recent project of the Medina American Legion Auxiliary Unit #245 was the collection of personal care items and winter outer wear for the residents of the North Dakota Veterans Home at Lisbon. Several bags filled with donated items such as coats, scarves, caps, gloves, hand soap, body wash, toothpaste, mouth wash, shampoo, lotion, and hand sanitizer were delivered to the Veterans Home by a group of Medina Legionnaires and Auxiliary members.

Senior LaRissa Schlecht was recently names the Jamestown High School October English Department student of the month. Schlecht, the daughter of Harry and Cathy Schlecht, was selected for her efforts in two essay projects in Darby Heinert’s English IV class. She was also selected for the unique responses she provides to high-level critical thinking questions, her teacher said.
