New information from the chemical analysis of evidence has reduced a Jamestown man’s conviction from a felony to a misdemeanor. Gabriel Richard Cichos, 20, 218 Seventh Ave. SE, pleaded guilty on Aug. 7, 2012, to possession of controlled substance, a Class C felony. He was accused of possessing synthetic cannabinoids in an incident about July 25. At that time Cichos was sentenced to 30 days at the Stutsman County Correctional Center and fees totaling $525. He served his jail sentence beginning Aug. 20, 2012.
