The Jamestown Parks Program will be hosting a pool carnival at the Jamestown Municipal Pool at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The cost to get in the pool is $2.25 per person or $6.75 per family, unless one has a season pass. There will be games and prizes for everyone.

Julie Ludwig remembers sitting at the table quietly as her mother fearfully watched the news. “Every night, she would sit while we ate dinner in silence, looking at the news clips for her brother or watching to see if his name was being scrawled across the screen,” said Ludwig, who was 8 and living in St. Paul Park, Minn., at the time. “I had little or no understanding of what happened to her every night at 6 p.m. watching that little black and white television.”
