Kala Bercier
Kala Bercier, 35, of Jamestown, ND, formerly of Gackle, ND, died suddenly from a bacterial infection on April 1, 2013 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. Kala Schroeder was born on December 13, 1977, in Jamestown, the daughter of Loren and Peggy (Kienzle) Schroeder. She was raised on a farm north of Gackle and graduated from Gackle-Streeter High School in 1996. Kala attended Jamestown College and graduated in 2001 with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She married Dale Bercier in 2000 and they made their home in Jamestown.

Lindberg’s tenure as Fair Board president marked by change
Alan Lindberg of Jamestown has served on the Stutsman County Fair Board for 31 years — the last 25 as its president. He has stepped down as president, but will continue to serve on the board through the end of 2013. Mike Williams, owner of Williams-Lisko Funeral Chapel, is now serving as the board’s president.

The Jamestown College women’s softball team split a pair of games at the Morningside Invitational being held at the SYA Softball Complex in Sioux City, Iowa on Friday.
