Campbell signs with Jimmies
Cade Campbell of McNeal, Ariz., has signed with the Jimmie baseball team. Campbell, a right-handed hitting pitcher and infielder, hit .587 with 34 RBIs for Bisbee High School this season. His on-base percentage was .640. He also went 2-1 on the mound with an ERA of 2.27 in 24 2/3 innings with 30 strikeouts.

Myriah Koebernick wanted to help the residents spruce up the entrances to their rooms at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, where she works. Koebernick achieved this goal and earned a Girl Scout Gold Award by having a “memory box” installed next to the door of each of Ave Maria’s 64 resident rooms.

Toso works his last full day as superintendent
After 37 years in education, with a dozen spent in Jamestown Public Schools, Superintendent Bob Toso is officially retiring. “Kids are always going to be kids. They’re delightful; they can be mean; they’re fun and they’re inquisitive — all at the same time,” Toso said.
