Dora Lee, age 93, of Valley City died May 16th at Mercy Hospital in Valley City. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, May 21st at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Valley City with Rev. Emmy Isaackson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM Monday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home with a family gathering at 7 PM. Visitation will continue one hour before services Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Sylvia Geraldine Hoffer, 81, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge, Minnesota. She was born November 9, 1931, in Streeter, North Dakota, the daughter of August and Lydia (Meich) Schock. She attended school in Streeter, graduating in 1949. She was the manager of the Streeter Cafe from 1946 – 1947, and also worked as a fry cook at the Streeter Hotel and Cafe.

Drug trial continues here today
The prosecution set out its case Thursday in Southeast District Court against a Jamestown woman accused of delivering a potent prescription painkiller. Lori Ella Houge, born in 1961 and from Jamestown, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, a Class A felony. She is accused of delivering fentanyl patches on or about March 3, 2012, to Tim Partlow. Houge pleaded not guilty.

Martha Olson, 96, died May 1, 2013, at Great Falls, Mont. Martha Catherine Olson was born April 30, 1917 at a farm home in Windsor, North Dakota to Leo J. and Mary (Cegla) Zimney. They lived in that area until she and Oliver “Bud” Olson married on January 9, 1943 in Windsor, ND. Bud was a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during WWII when they were married.
