Ave Maria telethon raises funds for chapel project
Ave Maria Village will host a telethon from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Reiland Center on the Jamestown College campus. The telethon is a fundraiser for the village’s capital campaign to build a new all-faiths chapel, the McCoy Family Suite for residents in their last days, and a transportation center.

International Week to kick off: Jamestown College to host activities that showcase other cultures

Focus on Muslim art during JC’s International Week
Jamestown College on Monday begins a week of international activities that will bring attention to many cultures, including French and Muslim-American. Most of the events are free and open to the public. Unless specified, all evening activities will start at 7 p.m. at the college’s Level 2 in the Westminster Hall’s Nafus Student Union.

Comeback falls short for JC men
The Jimmies rallied again late, but couldn’t climb over the hump. Digging a hole has not been uncommon this season for the JC men. Sometimes they’ve climbed out, sometimes not. Wednesday, they came up a step short. Dakota State scored the final four points of the game to hold on for a 66-60 win, taking the second of three head-to-head matchups against the Jimmies.

The night started with backup point guard Maggie Seter singing the national anthem and ended with a 36-point win for the Jimmies. Everything between was pretty good too, as 18th-ranked Jamestown College steamrolled Dakota State 85-49 in its final regular season home game Wednesday night at the Civic Center.
