Clayton E. Brown, rural Nevis MN, died December 10, 2012 at his home, after a short fight with cancer. Clayton was born August 5, 1941 to Henrietta (Koppleman) and Harvey Brown in Duluth, MN. Clayton was raised in Jamestown, ND and graduated from Jamestown High School in 1959. He joined the U.S. Army in October 1959 and served 3 years in the artillery, mostly in Germany.

Jamestown was short-handed and Carrington took advantage. Missing three starters to injury, the Blue Jays surrendered four pins, a technical fall and forfeited 18 points in a 47-34 loss the Cardinals. “(Wednesday) at noon we were solid. Then three guys go down and that throws a wrench into it,” said coach Greg White. “That’s the way it goes. You have to have the next man up and we just didn’t have them.”
