Stilwell shines but VC wins
On paper, the score was solid, but nothing more, said coach Dave Tews. Led by a personal-best score from sophomore Jenna Stilwell, the Blue Jays finished a disappointing second at the Wahpeton Invite on Thursday. Stilwell’s 34.350 was the “shining light,” according to Tews, but the story of the meet was Valley City and its 138.600.

Blue Jays third in tough field
Despite an imperfect meet, coach Dave Tews still has to like where his team sits in the big picture. Hosting four of the top five teams in the state, the Blue Jays posted a solid 135.050 to finish behind Bismarck and Dickinson, both of which cleared 139. Bismarck Century was a distant fourth with only heavyweight Minot missing from the state’s top five.
