Bohn resigns as Jimmie men's soccer coach
Coming off its best season and with a stacked roster returning, the trajectory of the Jimmie men’s soccer program was certainly pointed up. That may still be the case, but it will happen under a new coach. Phillip Bohn, who led the Jimmies to 16 wins, the NAIA national tournament and a No. 16 postseason national ranking last season, has resigned to take the same job at Central Baptist College in Conway, Ark. Bohn, a Minneapolis native, will also coach the women’s program there. “Phil did a really good job for us. He built the men’s program to where it’s nationally prominent,” said JC athletic director Lawrie Paulson. “It’s our job to find someone that will carry that forward and keep the momentum the program has moving forward.”
