Blockbuster rental to remain open
Dish Network Corp., the parent company for Blockbuster, announced Wednesday that it would be closing 300 U.S. Blockbuster stores in the coming weeks. The stores being closed are either under-performing or are coming to the end of their leases. Dish acquired Blockbuster out of bankruptcy in April 2011 for $320 million, the company announced in a press release about the closings.
