Author Erdrich receives newest Rough Rider Award
Renowned author Louise Erdrich on Monday was named the 39th recipient of the North Dakota Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award. Gov. Jack Dalrymple will officially present Erdrich with the state’s highest commendation April 19 in Wahpeton, making her the 10th woman to receive the honor and the third author — joining Western novelist Louis L’Amour and North Dakota poet laureate Larry Woiwode.

DUI Task Force releases results
The Southeast Jamestown Regional DUI Task Force participated in the Regional DUI Task Force program in North Dakota. It made 12 driving under the influence arrests, seven drug arrests, 15 seat belt citations, 12 speed citations, and 35 other significant arrests and traffic citations and made a total of 243 enforcement contacts during the recent unified saturation patrol effort.
