Letter to the editor: North Dakota lawmakers aren’t child friendly
I have been a resident of North Dakota all my life. For 60 years I have seen things that have thrilled me about our state, and I have seen things that disgust me. The anti-child legislation in the state houses is an example of the disgusting aspect of life in North Dakota.

Mustangs win in 2 OTs; meet Loboes for title
On no matter what level basketball is played, it’s normally the team that finds the most success at the free-throw line that goes home the winner. The South Border Mustangs stroked in 20-of-23 attempts at the charity stripe in the second half on Tuesday night, shocking District 6 champion Strasburg-Zeeland 63-54 in double-overtime during the semifinals of the Region 3 boys basketball tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center.

Loboes, Lions advance
With its lack of size, LaMoure-Litchville-Marion has to find ways to force turnovers in the backcourt. In many cases, that means trapping rebounders, and it worked pretty well for the Loboes early in their Region 3 quarterfinal contest against Kidder County on Thursday.
