Augusta has ladies but not a leader
The men in green jackets could barely contain themselves, sitting there smugly as if they had done something to transform the game of golf. Augusta National now has women members and, if it was a long time coming, they now seem to think it’s the best addition to the Masters since flowering azaleas were planted on the back nine. “It’s just awesome,” Masters chairman Billy Payne said.

Sergio Garcia might have written himself off too quickly at the Masters. When last seen walking off the course at Augusta National, the impetuous Spaniard was moping about his bad luck at this tournament and said last year it was increasingly evident he would never be fitted for a green jacket.

Around every corner at Augusta National is another reminder that Tiger Woods isn’t getting any younger. Late winter keeps JC athletics on hold
Another week, another round of weather-related cancelations and postponements for Jamestown College. The Jimmie baseball team had their games Tuesday (Dakota Wesleyan) and Wednesday (Minot State) wiped out. The Jimmies, who have won 10 of their last 11 games, hope to play Mayville State (24-2-1) this weekend. Where that happens remains up in the air. It won’t be in Jamestown or Mayville. Tom Hager and Scott Berry are working to find a diamond not covered in snow.

He found the water on the third-easiest hole at Redstone Golf Club and made double bogey. What he salvaged Thursday in the Houston Open was a 73, along with some optimism.
