Alvina M. Klose, 94, Jamestown, N.D., died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Eventide at Hi-Acres Manor in Jamestown. Alvina Mary Kaiser was born December 7, 1917, in rural Stutsman County, North Dakota, the daughter of Joseph P. and Sophia (Bautch) Kaiser. She attended school in Ashland Township and then at St. John’s Academy in Jamestown. In the 1980s, she proudly received her GED and was asked to speak at the GED assembly.

DUI Task Force increasing enforcement to keep drunk drivers off road
Beginning Nov. 23 through Dec. 2, the Northeast Jamestown Regional DUI Task Force will increase enforcement as part of an effort with the North Dakota Department of Transportation to keep individuals from driving under the influence. With increased enforcement efforts, additional officers will be assigned to monitor city, rural and state roadways.
