When the shots aren’t falling, basketball teams need to find other ways to score the victory. For the Ellendale Cardinals, that other way was simply through hard work. The Cards shot an unimpressive 27 percent from the field against the Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal Rebels on 64 total shots, but Ellendale dominated the glass in a 44-32 win over the Rebels in the opening round of the Stutsman County Girls’ Basketball Tournament at the Jamestown Civic Center on Thursday.
