DUI Task Force releases results
The Southeast Jamestown Regional DUI Task Force participated in the Regional DUI Task Force program in North Dakota. It made 12 driving under the influence arrests, seven drug arrests, 15 seat belt citations, 12 speed citations, and 35 other significant arrests and traffic citations and made a total of 243 enforcement contacts during the recent unified saturation patrol effort.

Last season, the Jimmie women truly drew the sunshine bracket at the national tournament. Jamestown College played the tournament opener in Sioux City, Iowa at 8:30 a.m. The draw was totally different this time for the 12th-ranked and 26-5 Jimmies. Coach Greg Ulland’s team arrived late Monday night. They did a Special Olympics event Tuesday followed by an appearance at US Bank, their primary sponsor.

Red Cross program provides shelter during emergencies
Myra Olson was at a doctor’s appointment on Oct. 24, 2012, when her family’s home near Mandan, N.D., caught fire and burned to the ground. The American Red Cross was there to help meet their most immediate need, shelter. A hotel in Bismarck had a room set aside for the family to use that night through the Rooms for Red Cross program.
