UND deans’ list released
The University of North Dakota has released its winter 2011 deans’ list. The UND deans’ list includes students whose grade point averages are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the university’s degree granting colleges and schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 semester hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than “satisfactory/unsatisfactory.”

Nighthawks stay alive at R8
Hettinger-Mott-Regent Scranton ended the seasons of Central Prairie and Kidder County at the Region 8 baseball tournament on Tuesday in Steele. The Nighthawks topped Central Prairie 8-6 behind a fast start that saw them get up 7-0 in the first two innings. McCahen Schweitzer got the win. Central Prairie was led by Thaddeus Owen’s 2-for-3 performance. Starter Chris Heinrich suffered the loss.
