Wayne Fredrickson
Wayne A. Fredrickson, 70, of Horace, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 surrounded by family at Essentia Health, Fargo. Wayne was born May 29, 1942 to Fred and Lydia (Harvey) Fredrickson near Cooperstown. He grew up and attended school near Montpelier before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1959 at age of 17. He was stationed aboard the USS Ranger out of Alameda CA as a Boatswain’s mate. He was honorably discharged on May 3rd 1963.

Beatrice Lola Lende Fogderud, 93, of Jamestown, North Dakota died on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Eventide at Hi Acres Nursing home in Jamestown. She was born on March 4, 1919 along with a twin sister, Bernice, on their family farm in Steel county in a raging blizzard, to Thorvald and Hilda Lende.

Voters defeat new courthouse issue
Voters in eastern North Dakota’s Griggs County have defeated a $2 million bond issue to build a new courthouse. The Grand Forks Herald reported that the measure on Tuesday’s ballot got support from only 49 percent of voters when 60 percent approval was required.
