Housing alliance receives grant
The U.S. Department of Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institution Fund an-nounced Aug. 19 that the Eastern Dakota Housing Alliance was one of 180 community-based organizations nationwide to receive a financial assistance award to further its efforts in providing critical financial services.September 01, 2010

Memorial ride for fallen soldiers rolls from here Saturday
The Memorial Motorcycle Run in Remembrance of All Fallen Soldiers will leave Jamestown this Saturday for the sixth year in a row. The Christian Motorcycle Association started hosting the event in 2005. Two 141st Engineer Combat Battalion soldiers came up with the idea to honor their fallen friends while in Iraq, said Paul Byron, president of the CMA Dakota Son Shine Riders, Jamestown chapter.By Ben Rodgers , August 20, 2010
JPS now offers $75 family passes 
The Jamestown Public School Board is offering Family Activity Passes beginning with the 2010-2011 school year at a cost of $75 per family.
Family Activity Passes can only be purchased at the Administration Office at 207 Second Avenue Southeast, beginning today.

The Seventh Annual Kulm Windfest Days is in Kulm this weekend.

RSVP+ to hold pie social fundraiser
An RSVP+ pie social and bake sale is planned for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday during Senior Celebration Day at the Buffalo Mall. The price for pie and coffee is $2.50.
