Bluegrass festival set at Atonement

St. John’s Lutheran Church will support students and teachers with a blessing of students, backpacks and teachers celebration at the 9 and 11 a.m. worship services Sunday. All students are invited to come with their backpacks, school bags or any kind of student bag. The blessing of the backpacks will include students, parents and other caregivers to be present for recognition and for prayers. First Assembly of God is hosting its annual Sunday school picnic at McElroy Park on Sunday with an outdoor service with a musical program by Prairie Rose and the Sidekicks. The service begins at 10:30 a.m. Following the concert a free meal will be served to all those who attend. There will also be games for children. A freewill offering will be received for the concert.
