Surprises await family as volunteers remodel home
George and Julie Beerbower don’t know the updates waiting for them at home.
They don’t know that their kitchen floor, once a mix of carpet, linoleum and uneven gaps, is now a level surface covered in vinyl hardwood. They don’t know their walls are covered with textured Sheetrock of off-white color. And — spoiler alert! — they don’t know about the special surprises like the tile shower in the master bath and granite countertops in the kitchen.
