A youth off-road race is planned for Saturday at Pipestem Reservoir as part of the XTERRA extreme marathon.

Parks program is open to children for the summer 
The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department is offering its annual parks program this summer for children ages 6-12. Attendance was down last year after spring flooding, but this year, officials added a fourth site for children to meet and extended the program a week.

Swimming lessons registration set 
The Jamestown Municipal Pool will be hosting swimming lesson registration on June 1-2.
Registration hours are 11:30 a.m.-7 p.m. and 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Youth track meets Wednesdays in June 
The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department will be holding summer track meets every Wednesday in June at 5 p.m. at Taylor Stadium.
Competition levels are 5-and-under, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17 and 18-and-over.

AAA: N.D. has least strict teen driving laws in country 
Nearly three years ago, Paula and Kevin Bartsch got the phone call that told them their son 16-year-old son Ryan was in an accident.
Ryan was slipping in and out of consciousness while struggling to breathe. He had been pinned under a door on top of tires from a semi, with another teenager on top of him.

Wimbledon club hosting youth camp 
The Tri-County Trap and Wildlife Club of Wimbledon has been awarded the Encouraging Tomorrows Hunters grant from the N.D. Game and Fish Department.
TCT will be conducting a shooting/hunting program for youth, starting June 6. To participate each youth must have completed an approved hunter’s safety course.
