The Jamestown-Valley City Prowl Bantam A hockey team went 1-2 last weekend, beating Williston 9-1. In the victory, Jake Stilwell scored 5 goals, while Brady Hoggarth and Alex Williams had 2 goals apiece. Dakotah Spitzer had 5 assists, Anthony Cook 3, Alex Williams, Brett Kohn (2). Spencer Meyer, Stilwell and Jakobi Lux had 1 each. Ben Walz stopped 7 shots.March 13, 2010

Pee Wee Black sweeps three games
The Jamestown-Valley City Pee Wee Black hockey team went 3-0 last weekend, opening with a 6-2 win over Mandan as Collin Schroeder had four goals in the opener. Conner Grosgebauer and Brandon Miller also scored. Gage Thompson had two assists and Sam Grugel one. Tom Grounds had 35 saves. Schroeder had four more goals, Thompson three and Grugel one in an 8-1 win over West Fargo.March 05, 2010
Boys Basketball make-up days 
Due to cancellations of Boys Basketball Program Grades 1-4 on Jan. 23, the Jamestown Parks and Recreation announced that the games will be made up on Feb. 27 at the same time and same place as originally scheduled.

New pre-permit class targets young drivers 
The auto club AAA is bringing a free driver preparation workshop to North Dakota, in part because it’s one of only two states that allow unsupervised driving at age 14, a spokesman said.
The club began offering its “Dare to Prepare” course in other states about two years ago, said Gene LaDoucer, community outreach and safety representative for AAA North Dakota.

Icehawks Squirt Black goes 2-1 
The Jamestown Icehawks Squirt Balck team went 2-1 over the weekend.
The Icehawks opened with a dominating 12-6 win over Mandan and followed with a 5-2 win over the Fargo Black Angels before falling to the Fargo Flyers White 5-4 in overtime.

White mites go 1-3 over weekend 
The Jamestown Icehawks White Mite team defeated Valley City 6-0 recently, but fell to West Fargo White and West Fargo Gold twice.
Matthew Schneider earned the hat trick against Valley City with three goals, while Tommy Falk posted a pair of goals and Brady Sortland scored 1. Assists were handed out to Brayden Gasal, Kellen Showen and Sortland. Sam Neuman recorded 8 saves in the Icehawks’ victory.

Icehawks win 2 lose 1 
The Jamestown Squirt White hockey team picked up wins over the Fargo Angels and the Fargo Flyers over the weekend, but couldn’t pull off the three-game sweep with a loss against Mandan.
The Icehawks defeated Fargo 9-5 on Saturday, receiving a four-goal performance from Devin Hofmann. Also scoring goals for Jamestown were Phillip Parisien (2), Aaron Grounds (2) and Cole Burkle (1). Grounds picked up an assist during the game, while Cohl Hatch recorded 28 saves against the Angels.
