Bender to enter the Hall
People know her as Kitty, but when you put her in front of a lane to do battle with 10 pins she becomes a full-grown cat — an alley cat.
Minon (Kitty) Bender started bowling back in 1960 at Majestic Lanes and this weekend she will receive one of the highest bowling honors the city has to offer.

YMCA hosting duathlon July 24
The James River Family YMCA is hosting a Run Bike Run duathlon on July 24.
Individuals, and relay teams of two or three people, will run three miles from the YMCA to the Jamestown Marina, bike nine miles and then run three miles back to the YMCA.
