Some Griggs County residents plan to circulate recall petitions against all five county commissioners to protest their recent decision to build a $3.5 million courthouse — despite voters rejecting the idea three times in a span of 14 months.
The North Dakota Attorney General’s Office has ordered the owners of a Fargo-based construction business to stop doing business in the state, claiming George and Karla Ann Nelson took thousands of dollars from people in nine counties to build pole barns and never finished the work.
The Mandan Airport Authority has awarded $5.7 million in contracts to resurface and add new lights to the airport runway.
Mandan Airport Manager Jim Lawler told the Bismarck Tribune that Bismarck-based Northern Improvement Co. will do the construction work and Grand Forks-based Strata Corp. will replace the lights.
