Service calls up 21 percent in Stutsman County in 2012
Calls for service were up more than 20 percent at the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office in 2012. “It was a busy year. We had a good year,” said Sheriff Chad Kaiser. Calls for service increasing: Stutsman County has 3,000 more calls in 2012 than year before
Calls for service and 911 calls in Stutsman County increased in 2012, and there will probably be more in 2013. “We’re seeing a tremendous increase in our calls for service, and in talking with Chad (Kaiser, Stutsman County sheriff) and Scott (Edinger, Jamestown police chief), I’ll tell you we haven’t even close to plateaued with these numbers,” said Jerry Bergquist, Stutsman County emergency manager and 911 coordinator, at a Tuesday meeting of the Stutsman County Commission. “We’re on the rise.”By By Kari Lucin, The Jamestown Sun , March 06, 2013
Patrol: Heed ‘move over law’
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said Thursday motorists should obey the “Move Over Law” when encountering authorized emergency vehicles and maintenance vehicles. Since Jan. 1, two North Dakota Highway Patrol vehicles, with lights activated, have been struck while providing traffic control.
