The Jamestown High School Summer Choir will perform at Ave Maria Village and at Eventide at Hi-Acres on Saturday afternoon. Students are preparing music to perform at St. Mary’s Basilica in Minneapolis in August. The summer band and choir will travel together and will attend Valley Fair and a traveling Broadway production of “Les Miserables” at the Orpheum Theater.
The Jamestown Performing Arts Association has donated $1,200 to Jamestown High School Music Department to assist the students through scholarships to International Music Camp and to help students who attended ACDA National Honor Choir.

Karen Pery doesn't consider herself a jazz fan. Yet for each of the past four years, she's spent $3,000 and flown nearly 4,000 miles (nearly 6,500 kilometers) roundtrip to attend the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
The North Dakota Music Educator’s Association sponsored North Dakota’s All State Music Festival March 21-23 at the Civic Center in Bismarck. The festival featured the North Dakota All State Jazz Band and All State Jazz Choir in a jazz concert at the Belle Mehus Auditorium on Friday evening. Additional concerts on Saturday featured the North Dakota All State Mixed Choir, All State Band, All State Orchestra and All State Women’s Choir at the Civic Center.
