Oakes FD receives $4,800 for boots

Man travels with each of 19 grandchildren
Dick Bourne has been to “only” 67 countries in his life. The 74-year-old has it on his ever-growing bucket list to continue traveling the world now, with each of his 19 grandchildren. Bourne, of Oakes, discovered his love of travel while spending 21 years in the military. Nineteen-year-old Lane Olson was charged in Dickey County Court with three counts of gross sexual imposition. He's being held in the Stutsman County jail on $2,000 bail. Sen. Byron Dorgan says the parent company of the JLG Industries, Inc., plant in Oakes is taking another look at plans to close it. Dorgan, D-N.D., said JLG’s parent company, Oshkosh Corp., has a new military contract totaling more than $1 billion.
