Mandan awards runway work contracts
The Mandan Airport Authority has awarded $5.7 million in contracts to resurface and add new lights to the airport runway. Mandan Airport Manager Jim Lawler told the Bismarck Tribune that Bismarck-based Northern Improvement Co. will do the construction work and Grand Forks-based Strata Corp. will replace the lights.September 24, 2012

Airport project awarded grant
The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority learned Wednesday at its meeting that the wetlands mitigation project has been awarded a grant to move forward. The Federal Aviation Administration awarded the airport $136,800 to transfer wetlands located on the southeast side of the airport. “The objective is we’re going to transfer them,” said Matt Leitner, JRAA manager on Thursday. “We’re going to fill in the wetlands here at the airport and fill in a grid elsewhere.”By Ben Rodgers , September 21, 2012
