Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has been fined $25,000 for a recent spate of late hits, but he won’t be suspended.

Jared Allen got a double dose of bad news Friday. Minnesota’s star defensive end was fined a whopping $50,000 by the NFL for two below-the-knee hits on Houston quarterback Matt Schaub last week. Allen also learned he was listed as doubtful on the injury report for the upcoming game against rival Green Bay.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Jared Allen is still unable to practice. Allen joined his teammates at the end of Thursday’s workout for stretching, but he has not participated at all this week since spraining his shoulder in Sunday’s game against Houston. Allen said he was still sore.
