A Minnesota man died in a two-vehicle accident shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday in Wahpeton, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Michael C. Oien, 53, Rothsay, died at the scene of the accident. He was a passenger in a Ford driven by Steven D. Ackert, 56, Rothsay.
A 47-year-old woman died in a three-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon on Interstate 29, in Richland County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was a passenger in a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe that collided with another vehicle around 5:30 p.m. south of the Wahpeton interchange. Freezing rain was occurring at the time of the accident, according to the patrol.
