North Dakota’s insurance commissioner plans to seek changes in state insurance laws to prevent any company from using domestic violence as a reason to avoid selling health insurance coverage to a woman. The Jamestown Public School Board rejected the teachers’ proposal to increase money budgeted for health insurance but offered vision and dental insurance instead. The Jamestown Public School Board and Jamestown Education Association met Tuesday to negotiate JPS teacher salary and benefits for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years.
