Optimist Club honors athletes
Jamestown High School’s Brooke Lukach, Andrew Peterson and Chasen Miller, along with Jamestown College’s Katie O’Neill and Kelly Roemmich, were recently selected as the Jamestown Optimist Club’s athletes of the week. Lukach, a junior gymnast for the Blue Jays, placed in the top four in all four of her events at the Blue/White meet on Jan. 18. Lukach was second on the beam (8.6) and placed second in the all-around competition (34.1). Peterson, a senior on the Blue Jay basketball team, hit six three-pointers and finished with 24 points in a 72-63 Jamestown victory against Bismarck St. Mary’s.January 28, 2010
