Miss N.D. High School pageant to be held in Jamestown

The Miss North Dakota High School America Pageant is set for this weekend at the Jamestown Civic Center. The location is a pageant first, said Tricia Seckerson, pageant director and former Mrs. North Dakota 2008. Jamestown rarely hosts pageants, Seckerson said. But this year, the pageant location is in the director’s city of residence as well as the current title-holder’s. Mercede Christ, 14, was crowned Miss North Dakota High School 2010. Christ and Seckerson are sisters.

Miss N.D. pageants set for November

The 2012 Miss North Dakota USA and Miss North Dakota Teen USA pageants are slated to take place at the North Dakota State University Festival Concert Hall the weekend of Nov. 19-20. The Miss North Dakota USA and Miss North Dakota Teen USA pageants are the official state preliminary pageants to the national Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants. State pageant offices have begun accepting applications. Young women between the ages of 14–26 are encouraged to apply at www.futureproductions.net or call 952-440-4550.

Pageant looks for competitors

The Miss North Dakota Collegiate America Pageant is searching for the next state and national representatives to compete for the North Dakota title the weekend of July 8-10 at the Jamestown Civic Center. This is the first year under directorship of Tricia Seckerson, Mrs. North Dakota America 2008. Applicants may be young women currently attending an accredited state college.

Scholarship pageant planned

The Montpelier Scholarship Pageant is Nov. 13. It is open to young women, high school seniors through age 24 who have never been married. No minimum GPA is required and all majors and career fields are eligible.

Carrington pageant tickets for sale

Tickets for the 14th annual Miss Carrington/Miss Dakota Country Scholarship Pageant are on sale. The pageant is set for 7 p.m. March 13, at the Carrington, N.D., elementary gymnasium. Contestants will be competing for scholarships and the titles of Miss Carrington 2010 and Miss Dakota Country 2010.

Three advance to Miss N.D. competition

The Montpelier Pageant was held Saturday night in the Montpelier High School Gymnasium. Seven young women from across the state competed for the titles of Miss Fort Abercrombie, Miss Peace Garden and Miss James River Valley. Each contestant was awarded a $100 scholarship and each of the three new titleholders were awarded an additional $500 scholarship. These scholarships were provided by the following sponsors: Todd Sjostrom Ag Services, Sky Farmer Ag Services, Dally Up Bar & Grill, Larson Grain, Seeds 2000, Mastel’s Heating and Air Conditioning, Dwight and Janet Hendrickson, Dennis and Dorothy Hendrickson and Directors Rich Holm and Kristen Lynch.
