The City Council’s Public Works Committee Tuesday approved revising the city snow policy to impose a parking ban for snow removal on emergency routes.
City Engineer Reed Schwartz-kopf said the parking ban was only one of two suggestions to come out of a debriefing on last winter’s snow removal. Asked if an on-street parking ban could be instituted throughout the city for snow removal, he said the Public Works Department prefers to start with this.
