The Youth Department of the Diocese of Fargo in conjunction with Catholic Youth Advisory Council is presenting the Jr. High Youth Rally April 10 in Larimore, N.D., at Larimore High School. The theme for this years’ event is “U R RCK”. This event is for students in grades 6, 7 and 8.
Daily newspapers and most TV stations in North Dakota failed to cover a recent story after they were given a news release about an injured workers rally in Bismarck and delivery of a “Bill of Rights for Injured Workers in North Dakota” to Gov. John Hoeven and Workforce Safety and Insurance Executive Director Brian Klipfel on Oct. 15. (The TV exception was KX News, a radio exception was Jason Spiess, talk show host at KFGO, Fargo.)
Rally Sunday, planned for Sunday, will mark the beginning of the new Sunday school year at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1403 Ninth Ave. S.E. Classes will resume at 9:30 a.m. for all ages, including an adult study class. Worship with Holy Communion will be at 10:30 a.m. followed by a potluck dinner in the fellowship hall.
Victory Lutheran Brethren Church kicks off its fall schedule on Sunday, with Rally Sunday. Worship services are at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. for all ages. Adults will study “The Jesus Quartet, Studies in the Four Gospels” with the Rev. John Kilde during the Sunday school hour. A potluck follows the 10:45 a.m. worship service in the Fellowship Hall. Victory will welcome all new and returning Jamestown College students.
STURGIS, S.D. (AP) — Bikers headed home throughout the weekend as the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally officially ended on Sunday.
The motorcycle parking on Sturgis' Main Street is gone, opening the road to all traffic.
