Obama declares 'I don't quit' in State of Union
WASHINGTON (AP) — Declaring ``I don't quit,'' an embattled President Barack Obama vowed in his first State of the Union address Wednesday night to make job growth his topmost priority and urged a divided Congress to boost the still-ailing economy with fresh stimulus spending. Defiant despite stinging setbacks, he said he would not abandon ambitious plans for longer-term fixes to health care, energy, education and more.By Jennifer Loven , January 27, 2010

What was all the fuss about?
Just when you thought things couldn’t get any stupider, schools across the nation decided to censor President Barack Obama’s speech urging kids to work hard because “being successful is hard.” And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the terribly scary bit of propaganda that prompted certain Americans to cry “socialism” and “indoctrination,” and force some schools to opt out of hearing the president’s message Tuesday.By Kathleen Parker, Orlando Sentinel , September 10, 2009

Hopes, fears of an ‘Obama effect’
After decades of criticizing public schools as places where hardly anybody learns anything, suddenly conservatives are upset that a 15- to 20-minute Webcast in schools might teach too much. That’s because the Webcast is by President Barack Obama. His critics fear he might teach something that they’d rather not have our schoolchildren hear. Seldom has so much power been imagined for a short video presentation that does not carry an X-rating.By Clarence Page, Chicago Tribune , September 08, 2009

Sharia continues to strangle speech
I am being patted down by a female Danish security officer in the basement of the parliament building in Copenhagen and I have a thought. I have just triggered the metal detector — my heels, I’m sure — en route upstairs to the Landstingssalen, formerly the parliament’s upper house. There, I am scheduled to deliver a speech at the invitation of the Danish Free Press Society, or Trykkefrihedsselskabet. (Say that three times fast — or slow.)By Diana West, Washington Times , June 24, 2009
