Truck backs up law enforcement
Law enforcement and emergency personnel recently got another tool to use in its operations: a big, white, truck loaded with the equipment needed to serve as a mobile command center.
“We’ll take it where it’s needed,” said Casey Yunck, a Jamestown police officer and a member of the Special Operations Team. “We will take it to any incident in southeast North Dakota.”

Jamestown Rural Fire Department buys new truck
The Jamestown Rural Fire Department purchased a new water truck this month, replacing a 32-year old unit it retired this fall.
The new, 2,000-gallon water truck carries a 380-gallon-per-minute water pump hooked to multiple discharge lines, said Brian Paulson, firefighter.

Driver unhurt in truck rollover
A truck rollover Wednesday afternoon about 1 mile north of Buchanan on U.S. Highway 281 caused no injuries, said Sgt. Josh Rude, North Dakota Highway Patrol.
A Border States Paving strait truck hauling hot asphalt from Jamestown to Carrington at 60 to 65 mph blew its left front tire around 1 p.m., Rude said. The 1995 Kenmore then entered the ditch and went up an embankment toward railroad tracks before tipping over, he said. The truck was totaled, the patrol said.
