Several members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 760 Auxiliary attended the MidWinter Conference Jan. 24 in West Fargo. The club presented checks from the proceeds of its Veterans Day Bake Sale including $500 for Special Cancer, $125 for Operation Uplink and $125 for Snowball Express.

Established in 1919, the North Dakota’s branch of the American Legion is using online social networking sites for serious purposes: finding help for veterans with mental illness and preventing suicide.
The North Dakota American Legion announced its campaign, Courage Carries On, at the Legion’s winter conference in Jamestown Saturday.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 760 and Auxiliary will have their monthly meetings on Wednesday at the All Vets Club. The Auxiliary will meet at 6:30 p.m. and the Post will meet at 7. The Midwinter Conference is Saturday at the West Fargo, N.D., Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 760 and Auxiliary will have their monthly meeting on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. potluck supper and the meetings to follow at 7 p.m. at the VFW Memorial Park. The annual picnic will be at noon Sunday at the park. Bring a dish to pass and your own utensils. Chicken will be provided. All paid up members welcome.
This weekend the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 760 and Ladies Auxiliary are holding their annual Buddy Poppy days in Jamestown. Volunteers will be distributing poppies and accepting donations from noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Hugo’s, County Market and Buffalo Mall.
