Lions finish 4th
From the look of game 1 on Saturday, the Linton-Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock volleyball team wasn't fazed by a semifinal loss to Kindred.
But once Park River-Fordville-Lankin got past its sluggish start, Linton-HMB spent the rest of the match playing catch-up.

Blue Jays take sixth
Fighting back tears, Jamestown High School volleyball coach Sara Hegerle spoke fondly of the seniors who helped the Blue Jays tie for the best finish in school history.
"I'm gonna miss those seniors," she said. "Most of them didn't play (on varsity) for a number of years. Siri (Jystad) played, but the other ones never stopped fighting for a spot on varsity."

Siri Jystad knows how quickly momentum can shift, and on Friday afternoon, it was as fickle as ever.
In an opening game that featured 13 ties and eight lead changes, the Jamestown High School senior pounded out five of her game-high 11 kills including a game-winning block with sophomore Jenna Stilwell to sweep Bismarck High 32-30, 25-8, 25-18 in Class A state tournament consolation action Friday afternoon at the Minot State University Dome.
