Body of missing S.D. woman found

Rapid City police say they do not suspect foul play in the death of an 85-year-old woman whose body was found in a field. Authorities said the body of Esther McNabb was found about 9 a.m. Monday about three-fourths of a mile from her residence. She had been reported missing shortly before 2:30 a.m. by family. Police say she was clothed in a jacket and shoes when found. Authorities said McNabb had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.

Age-enhanced photo produced of missing girl

Minot authorities have produced an age-enhanced photograph of Reachelle Smith, who disappeared three years ago when she was 3 years old. Police Sgt. Jason Sundbakken said the picture combines photographs of a younger Reachelle with photos of her father and mother at her age in an effort to show what a 7-year-old Reachelle might look like.

Missing teen may be linked to fatal fire

Authorities said Wednesday that the disappearance of a Mitchell teenager is believed to be related to what witnesses are calling a fatal fire. The Hanson County (S.D.) sheriff announced Wednesday afternoon that he is investigating a “suspicious” range fire that consumed a car Tuesday night about three miles southeast of Mitchell. In a separate announcement, the state attorney general said Jasmine Guevara, 16, was missing.

Missing woman’s car found year after her disappearance

Family and friends of Gina Anderson gathered in her parents’ home Wednesday, grieving a year’s worth of wondering and loss after her car was found in the Red Lake River about noon. Law enforcement told the family they believe her body is in the backseat of the bright yellow Pontiac Sunfire that Anderson, 32, last was seen driving away from her home Oct. 23, 2008.
