Holiday parade draws large crowd
The weather was positively balmy for the Holiday Dazzle on Main Parade Friday, at least for late November and probably only for North Dakotans.
But the good weather did bring out parade goers. Area residents crowded First Avenue all along the route, most braving the evening chill and others snug in their vehicles to watch the sixth annual holiday parade.

Holiday parade tonight
The Sixth Annual Holiday Dazzle on Main Parade is ready to bring the sounds and lights of the holidays to area residents tonight.
Nearly 50 floats will start the trip from McElroy Park at 7 p.m., decorated and lit after hours and sometimes weeks of work by participants. This year, parade goers will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite float in The People’s Choice Award. The idea came from Corey Bayer, president of the Main Street/Downtown Association Board.

Wanted: Floats for holiday parade
The sixth annual Holiday Dazzle on Main Parade kicking off the season is right around the corner, especially for those wanting to participate in it.
Kim Saxberg, parade committee chair, said entry registrations are slow in coming, but the same was true last year. In the end, the Main Street Downtown Association-sponsored par-ade featured 62 brightly lit entries traveling a First Avenue parade route the Friday after Thanksgiving.
