The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender working in Jamestown. Lucas Nathaniel Flatt, 23, Hannaford, N.D., is working at the construction site for the James-town Regional Medical Center in southwest Jamestown. Flatt is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He is caucasian with blue eyes and sandy brown hair. He drives a red 2000 GMC Jimmy with North Dakota license plate No. JBZ 463.

High-risk sex offender in Jamestown The Jamestown Police Department said Thursday that a high-risk sex offender will be working in community service in Jamestown. Kelly Christopher Tanner, 22, is currently incarcerated in the Stuts-man County Correctional Center in James-town. He has been assigned community service in Jamestown and will be out of the Correctional Center while performing community service at an undetermined location.

Sex offender moves into Jamestown

A high-risk sex offender has moved to the Ranch House Motel in Jamestown, according to the Jamestown Police Department. Jacob K. Close, 22, is living at the motel, 408 Business Loop W., in room #6 following his release from the Secure Services Unit of the North Dakota State Hospital. He was convicted in December 1999 of gross sexual imposition in Ramsey County Juvenile Court for engaging in sexual acts on three separate occasions with an 8-year-old girl, an 8-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy. Close continued to engage in inappropriate sexual behavior while in a juvenile facility.

Sex offender living in state house sentenced

A Bismarck man has been sentenced to serve three years in prison for a sex offense authorities say he committed while living in a house rented by the state Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The house is for convicted sex offenders with nowhere else to live. Twenty-four-year-old Geoffrey Miller was arrested after a probation officer found a 17-year-old girl at the home during a random check. Authorities say Miller had sex with the girl.
