Last week on “American Idol” Jesse Langseth drew criticism from the show’s judges for her song choice of “Bette Davis Eyes.” During Thursday night’s wild card round, they praised the former Fargoan for her choice of the Stevie Wonder-penned “Tell Me Something Good.”
The transition from analog to digital TV signals arrives Feb. 17, barring any government action, and it might affect people in the Jamestown area.
“The only people that have to be worried are the ones who have a TV in their home that is not connected to cable or satellite,” said Roy Sheppard, owner of Cable Services Inc.

Bucking the Obama administration, House Republicans on Wednesday defeated a bill to delay the upcoming transition from analog to digital television broadcasting to June 12 — leaving an estimated 6.5 million U.S. households unprepared for the switchover.
The Senate on Monday voted unanimously to postpone the upcoming transition from analog to digital television broadcasting by four months to June 12 — setting the stage for Congress to pass the proposal as early as today.

I have to admit, when KX4 first stated that an agreement with DirecTV for signal rebroadcast had not been reached, I was on the side of KX4. As this disagreement has drawn on, and I have read all of the statements from both companies, that view has drastically changed. KX4 states that fair compensation from DirecTV for the signal is needed which is understandable.
Time Warner Inc. said Wednesday it would formally split off its cable TV business, giving the media conglomerate a $9.25 billion windfall and allowing it to focus on cable network, entertainment and publishing operations.
